The First Farm

Before I can tell you about the first farmer I must tell you about the first man, Adam. On the sixth day of creation God created The first man (Genesis 1:26). 1Corinthians 15:45 tells us "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul .  .  . " so there was not any man before Adam. God gave Adam dominion over every other animal. God created Eve the first woman from one of Adam's rib. He placed Adam and Eve in a garden He planted. God planted the first garden not Adam. Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. Adam did not have to till the soil and plant the seed. All he had to do was to pick the food and care for the plants. Adams work would have been easy, God planted the perfect garden with perfect plants.

You probably have heard how Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the one and only fruit in the Garden of Eden that God told them not to eat, the fruit of the tree on the knowledge of good and evil. (By the way, don't believe the fable about the forbidden fruit being an apple, it wasn't.) Because of Adam's sin God cursed the ground so it would grow weeds and Genesis 3:18-19 says "Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." and from that time on, Adam had to work hard to grow food and we still do today.

Throughout the Bible God chose the use of His creation to show His sovereign power. Romans 1:20 states the invisible things of God are clearly seen in His creation, even His eternal power and Godhead. The rest of Romans chapter 1 declares those who deny creation actually are denying God himself and are changing Him into a god of their choosing and they know the sin they are willingly committing. Teaching the lie of the theory of evolution is attempting to lessen the God that all mankind will stand before in judgment.

The Theory of Evolution not only distorts the relationship between God and His creation but also distorts the relationship between mankind and nature.

Hi, I'm Noah. Have you heard about the great flood? A long time ago because of the sin of man had become so awful the LORD brought a great flood upon the Earth that destroyed all human, animal, and plant life that lived on the ground. For some reason God bestowed His grace on me and my wife and our sons and their wives. He told me how to build a big boat called an ark for all eight of us and some of every kind of all the animals to enter and escape from being destroyed by the flood waters.

After 40 days of rain the Earth was completely covered with water and remained flooded for many more days. After the water went down and the ground could be seen once again. The LORD allowed me, my sons and our wives to leave the ark along with all the animals. The Earth was barren and looked almost like the color behind me. Guess what the first things that started to grow from the ground were, you're right, weeds! Since God cursed the ground because of Adam's sin (in Genesis 3) weeds naturally grew without needing to be planted. This is why the LORD gave the meat from animals as our food when we came out of the ark. We had to till the soil, choose which plants we could grow for food and learn how to change weeds into good vegetables. I guess this is really when genetic modification started.

You can read the whole account of this time in history in the Bible beginning, in Genesis Chapter 6.
